Tracy Eugene Triplett, 58, of Blue Grass, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at his home.
He was born July 22, 1963, in Dumfries, a son of the late Billy Lee and Shirley Mae (Gum) Triplett.
Tracy was a plumber by trade. He enjoyed serving the community that he loved so much, no matter the hour or what he was called for, he would show up with a smile on his face. He was a such a giving person and had a passion for bringing joy to others. Tracy didn’t know a stranger; his door was always open and company was certain to show up. Dinner was regularly prepared in plenty for the evening visits. The porch talks were never short and you were always asked not to rush off. He enjoyed cooking out, throwing cornhole, putting on fire work shows, bonfires, going to tractor pulls and dancing. His energy and laughter always made for a great time. He loved spending time with his family, rather it was planning a camp out or begging for ten more minutes of conversation in the dining room at 2 a.m. You could never get in enough time, what felt like minutes turned into hours very quickly. Those times will hold our hearts and be treasured forever, until we meet again.
He is survived by his daughters, Shelly TenHoeve and husband, Todd of Orange; and Ashley Cross of Spotsylvania; sons, Jason Triplett and wife, Jessica of Summer Duck and Trace Triplett of Blue Grass; brother, Billy Triplett of Blue Grass; sister, Brenda Lee Blizzard and husband, David of Spotsylvania; grandchildren, Tyler Triplett, Destiny Triplett, Landon Triplett, Joey Triplett, Tamaira TenHoeve, Natalie Davis, Kya TenHoeve, Kaden TenHoeve, Jaylin Robinson, Jasper Triplett and Lilly TenHoeve; as well as many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., May 18, 2022 at Obaugh Funeral Home with Rev. Andre Crummett officiating. Burial will follow in Monterey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trace Triplett, Jesse Warner, Todd TenHoeve, Ricky Gum, Tyler Triplett, Landon Triplett, Joey Triplett and Larry Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Gum, Stevie DuBose and David Blizzard.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tracy Triplett Memorial Fund, c/o Blue Grass Valley Bank, PO Box 516, Monterey, Va. 24465 to help off-set end of life expenses.
