Daniel "Danny" Waybright

Daniel “Danny” Dee Waybright, 64, of Staunton passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2018.

He was born March 24, 1953 in Blue Grass, a son of the late Iris Gevena (Ratcliffe) and Vivian Richard Waybright. He married Betty (Welch) Waybright, who preceded him in death in 2015. In addition to his parent and wife he was predeceased by a brother Vivian “Dickie” Richard Waybright, Jr.

Danny was baptized and raised at the former Swank Presbyterian Church Chapel near Hardscrabble. He had worked at Harkness Screens USA in Fredericksburg, where he was a fabricator of movie theater screens and was a member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed helping his neighbors by mowing grass and loved watching old westerns. Most importantly, Danny devoted himself to caring for his mother in her latter years and his wife throughout her illness.

He is survived by two brothers, Roy Waybright and wife, Janie of Moyock, N.C. and Larry Waybright and wife, Cathy of Colonial Beach; a sister Phyllis Arbogast and husband, Ralph of Staunton; as well as a great number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018 in Blue Grass Cemetery with the Rev. Andre Crummett officiating.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Blue Grass Cemetery, 3042 Blue Grass Valley Road, Blue Grass, Va. 24413.
