William "Bill" Foster Colaw, 62, of Blue Grass died on Friday, September 26, 1997 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born on January 26, 1935 at Blue Grass, a son of Cornelius McKinley and Mildred Racey (Warner) Colaw.
He was a farmer, employee of Monterey Livestock Sales, Army veteran and a member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church.
Surviving are six sisters, Darlene Crummett of Blue Grass, Thelma Baker of Culpeper, Anna Davenport of Georgia, Lois Cayton of Franklin, WV, Beverly Sombara of Staunton and cornelia McLaughlin of Hyattsville, Md.; four brothers, Conley, John, Jacob and James Colaw, all of Blue Grass; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Joe Bradford, assisted by Andre Crummett, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ross Hefner, Odell Johnston, Bardon Warner, George Colaw, Jim Will and Randolph Wagner.
Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in McDowell.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
