William “Bill” Aaron Hall, 89, of Sugar Grove, WV, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at his home.
He was born January 13, 1931 in State College, Pa., a son of the late Martha Jeanette (Helman) and William Pearl Hall. On November 9, 1968 he married Susan Eleanor Geiger.
Mr. Hall was a graduate of Western High School, Washington, D.C, proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and went on to earn his bachelor degree from George Washington University. He retired as a cartographer from the Department of Defense (Defense Mapping Agency) after 26 years of service. Following retirement, Mr. Hall operated a sign business. Bill was a member and often an officer with Calvary Lutheran Church, a long-standing member of Sugar Grove Lions Club, as well as a charter member of Sugar Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed time spent working around his property, hunting and sport shooting. Also, it is worth mentioning that Bill’s strong work ethic and motivation for working in the city so long, was only to ensure his escape to the country and access to being outdoors. Bill will be remembered as a loving husband, caring and patient father and truly loved and enjoyed his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Jonathan Craig Hall and sister, Martha (Hall) Rubel.
