William Leeson Botkin, 72, of Waynesboro died Friday morning, December 27, 1991 at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
He was born July 3, 1919 at Head Waters, a son of William Earnest and Vernie (Armstrong) Botkin.
He was a resident of the District Home in Waynesboro and was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He had worked as a custodian at Rockingham Memorial Hospital for a number of years.
He is survived by five sisters, Vergie James and Waynesboro, Dorothy Hupman and Wilma Wimer, both of Staunton, Anna Lee McCray of Head Waters and Alice Shifflett of Harrisonburg; three brothers, Roscoe and Joseph, both of Staunton and Bud Botkin of Harrisonburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester LaPrade, with burial at Head Waters Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Hupman, Jeffrey and Stephen Shifflett, William McCray Jr. and Rusty and Jerry Botkin.
