William Jennings Key, 75, formerly of Monterey, died Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at Bath County Community Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1926 at Monterey a son of Dewey Wilson Sr. and Leola Frances (Strathy) Key.
He had been a resident of The Springs Nursing Center since 1996. He also had been a member of Thorny Bottom United Methodist Church. He retired from Hayes-Scott Rail Plant in Monterey. He had worked as a janitor for Highland County Public Schools under the Green Thumb Program. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dewey Wilson Key Jr., who died August 6, 2000.
Surviving are a number of cousins.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Blue Grass Cemetery, with the Rev. Donald E. Rose presiding.
