MONTEREY, VA Wesley Eugene Arbaugh, 45, of Monterey passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Augusta Health. He was born March 25, 1970 in Staunton a son of Lonnie and Betty (Beverage) Arbaugh. After graduating from Highland High School in 1991, Wesley enjoyed working various jobs and touched the lives of many people. He enjoyed bowling, loved the Redskins and Chevy's. He was also passionate about horses, dogs, and fishing. His love for life and people can be best summed up through the words of his Pastor, Chip Hill, "he loved life, loved his family and friends and his Redeemer, Jesus Christ... Everyone was drawn to Wesley like flies to honey and was always happy and always ready to pick and be picked on." Wesley is survived by his parents Lonnie and Betty Arbaugh of Monterey; two sisters and his brother-in-law, Lisa Arbaugh of Churchville and Amy and Mickey Strunk of Richmond, KY; niece, Micaela Clatterbaugh and nephew, Caleb Clatterbaugh, both of Churchville; great-nephew, Brady Mullins of Monterey and maternal grandparents, John and Gladys Beverage of Monterey. He also leaves behind special caregivers, Bonnie and Jeff Puckett of Steeles Tavern and special friend, James. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Willie and Regana Arbaugh. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Word of Faith Church with the Pastor Chip Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Beverage Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Vernon Wimer, Kermit Arbaugh, Billy Arbaugh, Dwight Arbaugh, Jason Arbaugh, Steven Arbaugh, Bob Beverage, Wayne Beverage, Wayne Marshall and Mickey Strunk. Honorary pallbearers will be Micaela Clatterbaugh, Caleb Clatterbaugh and friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Word of Faith Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Beverage Memorial Cemetery, c/o James Beverage, 3256 Churchville Ave, Staunton, VA 24401.
