Wendy Parkhurst
February 4, 1974 — March 20, 2011
Wendy Carol Parkhurst, 37, of Wasilla, AK, and formerly of Moyers passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011.
She was born Feb. 4, 1974, in Harrisonburg, Va., a daughter of Maxine and Jeffrey Rader of Moyers and the late Kerry Kenton Lambert.
Mrs. Parkhurst was a US Army veteran and had worked at the US Army Base in Fort Richardson, AK. She was a loving mother and loved reading, camping and fishing.
Her husband, Dennis Parkhurst of Wasilla, AK, survives. Also surviving are a daughter Shannon Parkhurst, at home; a son, Jordan Parkhurst, at home; two sisters, Kathy Ann Stump and husband, Randal of Petersburg, and Pamela Sponaugle and husband, Kevin of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant brother, David Lambert.
A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, Va. with the Rev. Dave Boger officiating. Burial was in Totten Chapel Cemetery.
