Violet Botkin

Violet Whitmire Botkin, 67, of Verona died Saturday, October 22, 1994 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born on January 14, 1927 in Thornwood, WV, a daughter of Clifton and Mollie (McCall) Whitmire.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Clyde R. Botkin; a daughter, Patsy Botkin o McDowell; three sons, Roger Botkin of Sugar Grove, WV, David Botkin of Crimora and Michael Botkin of Verona; two sisters, Ruth Lambert of Bartow, WV and betty Brown of Geneva, Ohio; seven brothers, William Whitmire of Wheeling WV, Tom Whitmire of Holden, NC, Charles Whitmire of Minneapolis, Minn, Harris Whitmire of Elkins, WV, Melvin Whitmire of Laper, Mich, George Brown of Houston, Tx and John Brown of Thornwood, WV; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Polly Sue Botkin and a son Charles C. Botkin Sr.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Arbovale Cemetery by Louise Whitmire.
