Thelma "Nanny" Hazel (Page) Hull, 98, of Monterey died Thursday, December 31, 1998, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 31, 1900, in Highland County, where she lived her entire life, and was the daughter of the late R. Lee and Minerva (Wade) Page.
She married W.G. Hull who preceded here in death November 4, 1955. Also preceding here in death were a son, Titus Elwood, two step-sons, Max and Moffett Hull and two sisters, Josephine Elliott and Grace King.
Mrs. Hull was a member of the Monterey Presbyterian Church and a retired postmaster of the Vanderpool Post Office.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy H. Ford of Emerald Isles, N.C. and Mary Glenn Hiner of Dayton; a son, Carlton Hull of Monterey; ten grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 1999, but the Rev. C. William "Bill" Cox at Obaugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Lyle Curtis Hull, Larry Hull, Scott Wilfong, Ernest Nuckols, Douglas Rexrode and Fred Frye.
Honorary pallbearers will grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon at the funeral home in McDowell.
