Stacie Ann (Krankoski) Hooke, age 51, of Staunton, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at her home surrounded by family.

She was born in Chicago, IL on April 16, 1973, a daughter of Richard Paul Krankoski of Southern Pines, NC and the late Kathleen Marie (Vuchichevich) Krankoski.

A 1991 graduate of Elk Grove High School, Stacie continued her education at Sandhills Community College, receiving her Associates Degree in Business. She worked in golf retail and visual merchandising at Pinehurst and The Homestead, as well as The Club at Ironwood. Additionally, she had served as youth group leader and secretary at Word of Faith Church in Monterey. One of her proudest accomplishments and roles was in homeschooling her daughter, Lily.

With her great love for Jesus, she was tenderhearted, selfless and had a strong moral compass. Known for her fun-loving spirit, Stacie was also well organized, logical and dependable.

Stacie loved spending time with her family and friends, especially thrifting with her daughters, cheering her grandsons on at competitions and games, as well as riding along in the cart for a round of golf with her husband. She enjoyed traveling, music and fine arts, and had an appreciation for all things beautiful and pretty.

Above all, she will be remembered for her childlike faith, as well as having been an amazing wife, mother, daughter, Mimi, and friend.

In addition to her father; she is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Eric Matthew Hooke of Staunton; daughter, Madeline Shaver and husband, Alex, of Hot Springs and their children, Tyler, Hunter, Ryder, Gunner and Paxton; daughter, Lily Hooke of Staunton; parents-in-law, Jerry and Pattie Hooke of Monterey; brother-in-law, Greg Hooke of Staunton; as well as special friends, Steve and Laura Shaver of Hot Springs.

Predeceased family members include her adoptive mother, Kathleen Krankoski; her birth mother, Nancy Hawkins, whom she was glad to have built a relationship with later in life, and step-father, Mike Hawkins.

A private family committal service will be held in Warm Springs Cemetery with Pastor Steve Shaver officiating. In addition to the committal service, a celebration of Stacie’s life will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Church on the Hill, 100 Four Square Lane, Fishersville, Va. 22939.

Pallbearers will be Alex, Tyler, Hunter and Ryder Shaver, and Paxton Rivenbark.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gunner Shaver, Steve Shaver and Jerry Hooke.

Memorial contributions may be made to ComfortCare Women’s Health, 12 Hedgerow Drive, Staunton, Va. 24401.
