Shirdell Pryor

Shirdell S. Pryor, 80, of Williamsville, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at her home.  She was born September 30, 1928 at Warm Springs a daughter of the late Glenn and Lilly (Williams) Massie.

Mrs. Pryor was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church.  She had worked in New Jersey as a beautician and in California at a department store.  She later returned to Highland County, where she built her own house and retired from the Homestead at the Jefferson Pools.  She loved to quilt, work jigsaw puzzles, was an avid gardener and gourmet cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Pryor and a special cousin, John Williams.

She is survived by numerous cousins, including her caregiver and special friend, Corrine Hardy of Canton, MS and special cousin, Elaine Ricks of Charleston, WV.

The body was cremated and the services were private.
