Sharlene "Sherry" Wooddell

Sharlene “Sherry” A. Wooddell, 57, of Staunton, died Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Augusta Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1949 in New York a daughter of the late Francis and Joyce (Warner) Ambrose.
Mrs. Wooddell was a member of Jerusalem Chapel United Brethren Church. She was a LPN and had worked at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, Augusta Medical Center, King’s Daughters’ Hospital and as a private duty nurse.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Ambrose.
She is survived by her husband of nineteen years, Arnold W. Wooddell; two sisters, Jean Rich of Aldie and Michele Morgan of North Carolina; a brother, Brian Ambrose of North Carolina; two step-daughters, Terry Wooddell of Staunton and Pam Linhart of Ozark, MO; a step-son, Larry Wooddell of Blacksburg and four grandchildren, Trevor, Trenton, Taylor and Tyler Wooddell.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2007 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Darren Massey. Burial will be at McKendree Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ron Linhart, Larry, Trevor and Trenton Wooddell, Gary Miller, and Gilbert Pullin.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
