Sallie Mae Meyer, 65, of Monterey, died on Wednesday, March 16, 1994 at University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born on January 25, 1929 at Chattanooga, Tenn,, a daughter of Ephram Bedford and Sallie (Butler) Hobbs.
On September 15, 1956, she married Eugene Meyer of Monterey.
She had been employed at the guided missile school at Damneck before moving to Monterey in September 1993.
In addition to her husband, surviving are two daughters, Sali R. Wedding of Stockbridge, Ga., and Margaret J. Rexrode of Monterey; a brother, Ephram Bedford Hobbs Jr. of Macon, Ga.; two granddaughters, Kimberly Arnold of Virginia Beach and Crystal Bryan of Layton, Utah; a grandson, Jeremy Wedding of Stockbridge, Ga.; and a great-granddaughter, C. Rebecca Arnold of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jesse D. Bryan and Michael E. Meyer.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Timothy Strock with burial in Monterey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Rexrode, Robert Stuber, Carson Ralston, Joe Arnold, David Hise and Tracy Triplett.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home.
