Ruth B. Roberts, 100, of Monterey, died Thursday, March 18, 1993 at the Bridgewater Home.
She was born March 16, 1893 in Highland County, a daughter of Andrew and Mary Etta (Hull) Beverage.
Her husband, Grover E. Roberts, died July 7, 1946. She was the oldest member of Monterey United Methodist Church.
She graduated from Business College in Richmond and had worked in Richmond and New York. She as the last survivor of her immediate family.
She is survived by two nieces, Miss Marietta Beverage of Staunton and Mrs. Bruce Dolly of Franklin, WV; a grand niece, Mrs. Ronald Shelin of Williamsburg; a great-grand niece, Miss Sandra Shelin of Walla Walla, Washington; and a great-grand nephew, Dr. Randal G. Shelin of New Orleans, La.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. David Schill and Norman Compton.
Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Orion and Dean Beverage, Kyle Almond, Ralph Hammer, Billy Pritt and Carl Gutshall.
