Ruby Lee Hodge, 86, of Churchville died Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville, where she had been a resident since August 1999.
She was born July 29, 1913, at Boyer, W.Va., a daughter of Emery and Alice Wilfong.
She was a homemaker and a member of Head Waters Brethren Church.
On May 29, 1927, she married Roy David Hodge, who preceded her in death on December 3, 1972.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte L. Varner; and three sons, Wilbur, Lee and William Hodge; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Lucille Garrison of Maryland, Peggy Sensabaugh of Raphine, Betty Neace of Huntington, W.Va. and Christine Moran of Stuarts Draft; four sons, Eugene A. of Head Waters, John A. Mt. Crawford, Ray H. of Staunton and Jerry M. Hodge of Churchville; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Don McClure, with burial in Head Waters Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Puffenbarger, Junior, Terry, Marvin, Michael, Jeff, Kevin and Kenneth Hodge.
Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters and their husbands.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
