Roy Robertson Sr.

Roy Vaiden Robertson Sr., 78, of Bolar, died on Thursday, April 3, 1997 at Augusta Medical Center.

He was born on October 25, 1918 at Monterey, a son of George Allen and Daisy (Terry) Robertson.

He was a farmer, served in the Army, was on the Highland County Board of Supervisors for a number of years and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 40 years.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy L. Agee of Dublin and Terry Welch of Spring Hill, Fla.; two sons, Roy V. Jr. of Bolar and George A. Robertson of Columbia, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A service will be conducted at 2 this afternoon at Obaugh Funeral Home by Mike Puffenbarger and the Rev. Jerry Ginn, with burial at Valley Bethel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy and Lowell Terry, Swanson Dowling, Dennis Botkin, Jimmy Varner and Jimmy Hiner.

The family received friend from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home in McDowell.
