Rosie Ann Echard

Rosie Ann Echard, age 96, died Saturday morning, December 19th, 1992 in the Pendleton County Nursing Home.

She was born October 17th, 1896 in Highland County, a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Lucy Ann Bowers Halterman.

She was a member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church and she attended the Highland Senior Citizens.

In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, William Echard; and a daughter, Grace Simmons.

Survivors include a son, Melvin Echard of Monterey; four daughters, Allene Gutshall, Mamie Armstrong, Lucy Puffenbarger and Catherine Echard, all of Woodbridge; 13 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. David Schill and Norman Compton.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren Gregory L. Jamison, Gordon M. Twiford, Ronald L. Gutshall, Samuel and Roger L. Puffenbarger, Bobby D., Cellan A. and Richard Simmons.
