Robert William Lott, 77 of Dixon Springs, Tenn., and McDowell, died Thursday, May 2, 1996.
He was born October 22, 1918 at Weatherford, Texas, a son of Finus and Lillian Lott.
He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1936 and Weatherford College with a B.S. degree. He served in the Air Force in Costa Rica for four years and then went to Cumberland University Law School where he received his LLC degree and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, conferred in Birmingham. He also earned a B.A. from Austin Pea University and master's degree in education and philosophy from Murray University.
Surviving are his widow, Mary Frances (Wortham) Lott of Dixon Springs and McDowell; two daughters, Mary Roberts Ralston of Dixon and McDowell, and Virginia Ellen Trail and husband, James, of Nebraska; a son, Robert William Lott II and wife, Soraya, of Mesa, Arizona; and nine grandchildren, Elynnor Eunice Trail, Elizabeth Mary Ann Trail, Suzanne Marie Trail, Caleb Lehi Trail, Latosha Lott, Lathena Lott, Robert Bathan Lott, Sterling Willina Lott and Lawrence William Lott.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by Bishop Joel Martin and Troy Martin from Tennessee and the Rev. Lester LaPrade with burial at McDowell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kyle and Brent Obaugh, Joe Malcolm, Dwayne Harkleroad, Shannon Maloy and Darrell Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home.
