RICHMOND, VA Rita Margaret "Betsy" Dunlap, 80, of Richmond, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013. She was born November 3, 1932 at Valley Center in Highland County a daughter of the late Adam Hevener and Alta Geneva (Crummett) Brock. Mrs. Dunlap graduated from Monterey High School and National Business College. She had worked for 22 years at Richmond Foundry Manufacturing Company as an accountant and 5 years at Burhman & Sons. On October 31, 1952, she married William McCluer Dunlap, Jr., whom preceded her in death on June 19, 1981. She was also predeceased by her companion of seventeen years, R.B. Dalton on January 13, 2004. She is survived by four daughters, Victoria L. Sobrito of Amelia, Patti L. Boyd of Perth, Canada, Betty L. Canning of Powhatan and Cynthia L. Tuck of Tappahannock; two sons, William M. Dunlap III of Glen Allen and Richard Hevener Dunlap of Bumpass; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Joseph "Joe" Brock and John Douglas "J.D." Brock, both of Monterey and her sister, Sandra Ann Crummett Fore of Monterey. A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with the Rev. Melissa Litrel Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in Monterey Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Obaugh Funeral Home.
