Richard "Dick" Lucas

Richard “Dick” Donald Lucas, 82, of Monterey, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at University of Virginia Medical Center.

He was born April 30, 1929 at Buffalo, N.Y., a son of the late Huron Jefferson and Loretta Ann Whitman Lucas.

Mr. Lucas served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a master electrician and belonged to IBEW Local Union 26.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcia “Toots” Lucas.

He is survived by three sisters, Marion of Buffalo, N.Y., and Charlotte and Audrey, both of California; two brothers, Bruce of California and Frank of Chincoteague; and two nephews, Michael and Mark of Front Royal.
