Richard Maxham

August 8, 1937 — July 15, 2002

Richard Myron Maxham, 64, of Monterey, died Monday, July 15, 2002, at Bath County Community Hospital.

Mr. Maxham was born August 8, 1937, in Barre, Vt., and was a son of Marjorie Hinkley Maxham of Montpelier, Vt., and the late Donald H. Maxham.

He was a member of the Franklin Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was employed by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Sugar Grove, W.Va., as an electronic technician and recently did electrical work. He also worked with solar and wind energy systems and was an amateur radio operator for almost 50 years.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Josephine J. Maxham, whom he married May 11, 1975; and three half-sisters, Madelyn M. Kimbal, Ethelyn M. Martin and Sylvia A. Cleveland.

Elder Elmer Malcolm will conduct a memorial service 2 p.m., Sunday, July 28, at the Highland Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will be private.
