Rembert Mustoe "Jimmy" Corbett, 66, of Monterey died Sunday afternoon, December 29, 1991 in Bath County Community Hospital.

He was born June 1, 1925 at Mustoe, a son of Elsie Pritt Corbett of Monterey and the late Charles Harper Corbett.

On February 17, 1947 he married Audrey Armstrong.

He served in the U.S. Navy and worked for the sheriff's department in Fairfax for seven years. He later worked as a neon specialist in the Washington metropolitan area.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two daughters, Sheila of Winchester and Carla of Haymarket; three brothers, Ray Harper of Monterey, Martin of Norfolk and Douglas Corbett of Alexandria; four sisters, Shirley Verges of Richmond, Patsy Herold of Olney, MD, Malen Eakin of Roanoke, Diana Smick of Richmond; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Ginn. Burial will be in Head Waters Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Samuel Eakin, Martin Corbett Jr., T.T. Folks, William Smick IV, Larry Armstrong and Perry Warner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Warner, Richard Hicks, Charlie and Frankie Armstrong, William Kurt Herold, John Crowyl, Linden and Ralph Eakin.
