Randolph “Randy” Lee Dennis, 70, of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his home.
He was born June 28, 1949 in Alexandria, Virginia, a son of the late Clyde Lee and Della Marie (Simpson) Dennis.
A senior groundskeeper at Fort Belvoir Golf Club, Randy retired after 38 years of service. He was a die-hard fisherman, often known to wake his buddies in the early morning hours to join him on fishing trips. Additionally, he was an avid collector of silver coins and enjoyed time spent mowing grass, a job he was very passionate about. Above all, Randy will be remembered as a selfless man and loving brother.
Randy is survived by his sister, Roberta Briel and husband, Ronald and their daughter, Rachel, all of Jacksonville, Fla; step-brother, Carl Harold and wife, Pepper of Monterey; his special caregivers, Hilary Lockridge and Janet Hunt; as well as his three beloved cats.
As per his request, his ashes will be scattered at sea in the Caribbean.
