Randolph “Dot” Miller Smith, age 90, of Monterey died Sunday, March 12, 2006 at his home.
He was born June 1, 1915 at Monterey a son of the late Bruce and Ruth Mae (Bowers) Smith.
Mr. Smith was a farmer and past member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph W. Smith and a sister, Virginia Minitree.
He was the last member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Velma Ellena (Propst) Smith of Monterey; a daughter, Geri Tuning and her husband, Joe of Hot Springs; a son, Raymond Smith and his wife, Betty of Monterey; three grandchildren, Greg and Tim Tuning of Burnsville and Katrina Smith of Strasburg and two great-grandsons, Austin and Wade Tuning.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2006 in the Smith Cemetery near Monterey by the Rev. Mike Sullivan.
Active pallbearers will be Jarret Dever, Bill Huffman, Elmer Waybright, Wilson Smith, Glen and Ezra Halterman,
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
