Randolph Ray Waybright, 62, of Monterey, died on Wednesday morning, November 24, 1993 at Summersville Memorial Hospital in West Virginia.
He was born September 14, 1931 at Pendleton County, WV, a son of Ray and Nellie (Mullenax) Waybright.
On March 17, 1979 he married Dallas M. Halterman of Monterey.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He was an Air Force veteran, member of Sugar Grove VFW Post 9666, American Legion, Blue Grass Ruritan Club and American Diabetes Association. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Union of Operators Engineer Local 132 B.
In addition to his mother of Pendleton Nursing Home, Franklin, WV and widow, surviving are two step-sons, Rick and wife, Teresa of Monterey and Robbie Halterman and wife, Beth of Staunton; two brothers, Olin of Monterey and Harlan Waybright of Staunton; two step-grandsons, Donnie Halterman and Christopher Whitelaw; one step-granddaughter, Valerie Halterman; mother-in-law, Ethel Clayton.
A brother, Ocie Waybright, preceded him in death.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Harley with burial at Blue Grass Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Dale Propst, Bill Lambert, Mike Clayton and Mark, David and Shane Waybright.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Harte, Eddie Tummer, Eddie and Greg Lambert, Delmas Moats, Gary Rexrode, Glen Halterman, Bob and Fred Whitelaw, Gene Boggs, Carl Turner, Frank Smith and members of the Blue Grass Ruritan Club.
