Ralph Frederick Moran, 75, of 11681 Deerfield Road, Millboro, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at his home.
He was born Nov. 23, 1936 at Mineola, N.Y., a son of the late Frederick and Isabelle Goerke Moran.
Mr. Moran retired from the D.C. Department of Corrections. He attended Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Woodbridge. He had served nine years in the U.S. Army. He was a member and past commander of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Post 3060 in Deerfield, and a member of the Deerfield Volunteer Fire and Rescue. Additionally, he was a gunsmith in the Deerfield community.
He is survived by his wife, Adolfine J. Moran of Millboro, whom he married on March 10, 1956; a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph H. and Karen Moran; granddaughter, Laura McKusker; two grandsons, Steven Moran and Christopher Moran; two greatgrandchildren, John W. McKusker III and April Lovett, all of Woodbridge.
