Quinton Lewis Moyers, 82, of Moyers, W.Va. died Monday, April 2, 2001 at Rockingham Memorial Hosptial.
He was born March 29, 1919, at Moyers, a son of William Boyd and Carrie (Simmons) Moyers.
On July 17, 1940, he married Bonnie May Propst.
He was a member of Totten Chapel United Methodist Church.. He was a farmer and was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highway.
He was the last member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Barbara Moyers; two brothers, Raymond and Russell Moyers; and a sister Mable Moyers.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Moyers of Moyers; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Shirley Moyers of Dayton, Va.; three grandsons, Daniel, Jason and John Moyers; two great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Chales W. Townsend, with burial in Totten Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel, Jason and John Moyers, Carroll Jordan, Bruce Lambert, Carl and Joe Moyers.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
