Pauline Sullenberger

Pauline Siron Sullenberger, 80, of Monterey, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at her residence. She was born May 12, 1922 at Doe Hill a daughter of Lloyd and Ruth Ferrote Siron.

Mrs. Sullenberger retired from Virginia Electric and Power Company. She had been employed by the Highland County Crafts for 10 years. She was a past member of McKendree United Methodist Church and she enjoyed gardening.

Mrs. Sullenberger was preceded in death by four brothers, Leo, Clyde, Bobby and Ray Siron and two sisters, Dorothy Barbour and Rosalie Toman.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Susie Jessee of Monterey, Mickey Makcen of Carmichaels, Penn. and Diana Sullenberger of Monterey; two sons, Henry S. Sullenberger of Mt. Sidney and Gregory Sullenberger of Monterey; three sisters, Doris Swadley of Staunton, Geraldine Turner of Fishersville and Judy Waybright of Monterey; a brother, Glenn Siron of Monterey; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2002 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Jerry Ginn.

Burial will be in the McKendree Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Douglas Puffenbarger, Clem Kincaid, Junior Hartman, Pat Patterson, Tom and Bob Whitelaw, Jerry Rexrode and Rusty Siron.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Susie Jessee in Monterey.

There will be no public viewing.
