Patsy Ann (Kincaid) Woodzell, 76, of Hot Springs, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Bath Community Hospital.
She was born August 27, 1946 in Mustoe, a daughter of the late Guy Leslie and Lillian (Doyle) Kincaid.
Patsy had worked at Aileen in Monterey and was the book keeper for her husband’s business “Jack’s Trash and Trucking.” She was a member of Virginia Chapel Church. She enjoyed doing needlework and crossword puzzles. An avid baker, Patsy was part of the “Apple Dumpling Gang” of Virginia Chapel Church. Her favorite place to be was at her homeplace on the Jackson River that she lovingly named “Grandma’s Riverside Park.” Above all, Patsy will be remembered as a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Jackie Wayne Woodzell Sr.; as well as her brother, Clem Kincaid.
She is survived by her children, Carla Kincaid Hickman and husband, Gary of Hot Springs; sons, Michael Kincaid and Diana Woodzell of Warm Springs, Louie Kincaid and wife, Glenda of Bolar; step-children, Debbie Burns and husband, Mike of Hot Springs, Helen Cook of Roanoke, Russell Woodzell and wife Trudy of Hot Springs, and Jackie Woodzell of California; grandchildren, Amber Kincaid, Corey Hickman, Gary Hickman Jr., Brooke Crawford and William Samuel Kincaid; great-grandchildren, Brianna Phillips, Bayleigh and Billy Sorrels and Hendrixx Samuel Kincaid; step grandchildren, Chezley Pillow, Dustin Kincaid, Kara Kincaid, Preston Wiseman, Julie Abbott, Zachary Woodzell, Ryan Woodzell; step great-grandchildren, Ledger Kincaid and Lucas, Lucy and Elyza Pillow; Mya Woodzell, Maislee Woodzell, Savvy Jo Woodzell and Erminka Abbott; sister-in-law, Jane Kincaid of Monterey; nieces, Susan Murray and Lisa Kodger of Monterey; nephew, Dennis Kincaid of Monterey; as well as Aubrey and Cole.
A committal service and burial for Patsy and her late husband, Jack Woodzell will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Jacob Cleek Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Virginia Chapel United Methodist Church with lay speakers Denny Hansford, Phillip Layman and Rev. Sang Lee officiating.
The staff of Obaugh Funeral Home will receive those wishing to pay their respects throughout the day on Monday, April 3, 2023, between the hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Corey Hickman, Gary Hickman Jr., William S. Kincaid, Zachary Woodzell, Kenny Woodzell and Chris Sorrels.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Jacob Cleek Cemetery, c/o Georgie Wyatt, treasurer, 2105 N. Augusta St., Staunton, Va. 24401.
