Patricia "Ann" Grogg

Patricia “Ann” Grogg, 67, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024 at River Edge Rehabilitation and Nursing in Waynesboro.

She was born May 18, 1957 in Highland County, a daughter of the late Edward Homer and Elva “Bucky” Grace (Puffenbarger) Grogg.

A beloved mother, sister, and aunt, Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, taking photos, and making memories. She loved to bake, play cards, and color art on her phone. Ann loved reading her Bible and listening to gospel songs. Additionally, she enjoyed family dinners when all the family would be together. Ann would keep in touch with family and friends and unfailingly check on the family’s dogs, Helen, Otis, and Ronnie.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the love of her life, Lawrence Lawson Lowry; and step-sister, Judy Lyles.

She is survived by her son, Steven Phillip Grogg of Stuarts Draft; granddaughter, Ella Grace Grogg; grandson, Layne Proffitt; sister, Betty Jean Lowry of Crimora; nieces, Victoria Angel Miller and Laurasteen N. Lowry; great-niece, Zariah Lynn Lowry; as well as her half-brother, W.J. Puffenbarger of Maryland.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2024 at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell with Lieutenant Arkadia Bottenfield officiating. Burial will follow in Union Chapel Cemetery, Blue Grass.

Friends in attendance will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
