Ocie Wimer Johnston

Ocie (Wimer) Johnston, 87, died Sunday, February 7, 1993 in Oak Hill Nursing Home.

She was born on May 16, 1905 at Blue Grass, a daughter of James B. and Lora (Nicholas) Wimer.

On July 21, 1932 she married Melvin Johnston, who died on Nov. 7, 1992.

She was a member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church and was a retired school teacher.

Survivors include a daughter, Julia J. Gutshall of Elk Hart, Ind.; a son, David W. Johnston of Monterey; a sister, Lorena D. Chew of Elizabethtown, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

A service was conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Ginn with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Beverage, Elmer Ruckman, Dale Propst, Roy Kimble Jr., Bradon Warner and Olin Sponaugle.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
