O. Mitchell

O. Wilmer "Bill" Mitchell, 72, of Churchville, died Saturday, January 11, 1997 at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.

Mr. Mitchell was born June 5, 1924, at Doe Hill a son of Ernest William and Hannah Catherine Hise Mitchell.

He was a truck driver for Robinson Terminal before retiring to Churchville.

On February 6, 1940, he married Irene McCray, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Pauline Wilfong Gordon of Woodbridge and Alice Franklin of Mount Jackson; two sons, Sandy Mitchell of Stafford and Robert Mitchell of Richmond; one sister, Leta Simmons of Monterey; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Head Waters Cemetery.
