Norma Jean Page, 50, of Monterey, died Tuesday May 11, 2004, at University of Virginia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born May 10, 1954, at Woodbridge, a daughter of Elbert “Pete” and Hilda Gum Puffenbarger.

She worked as a manager at Fast Break/Texaco in Monterey.

She is survived by her parents, Pete and Hilda Puffenbarger of Staunton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Ernie Hise of Monterey and Valerie and Michael Price Jr. of Fauquier County; a son, Daniel Page IV of Stafford; a sister, Betty Stevens of Locust Grove; two beloved grandchildren of their “Grandma Fred,” Troy and Katelyn Hise and companion and best friend, Michael Hilbert of Monterey.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004, at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Todd Pyle, the Rev. Darren Massey and Dr. Daniel Freed. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Price Jr., Ernie Hise, Terry Stevens Jr., Scotty Stevens, Kevin Paddy, Jeff Hilbert, Bill Smith and Harold Salmon.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
