Nancy Lohr

Nancy Jane Lohr, 80, of Monterey, died on Tuesday, January 6, 1998 at her residence.

She was born on August 13, 1917 at Dayton, Ohio, a daughter of Wilson Henry and Mary Bruce (Merriman) Light.

She married Ralph Revere Lohr on December 26, 1942, whom preceded her in death on January 21, 1975.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church, the Garden Club and the United Methodist Women.

Surviving are three daughters, Dorcas Jean Lohr of Camp Hill, Pa.; Nina Louise Lohr-Valdez of Pensacolo, Fla. and Nancy Jane Lohr of Princeton, N.J.; a son, John M. Lohr of Monterey; a sister, Phyllis Merchant of Florida; and nine grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Monterey United Methodist by the Revs. Robert Haley and Dorcas Lohr, with burial in Monterey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clair Meyers, Thomas Pearson, Cpt. Michael R. Valdez, Anthony Lohr-Valdez, Harry C. and W. Bryce Lunsford, James R. and J. Robert Lohr.

Honorary pallbeaers will be members of the Monterey United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home.
