Monna Mullenax Hammer, 91, of Monterey, died Sunday, January 24, 1993 at the Springs Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 31, 1901 in Blue Grass, a daughter of the late Henry Walter and Mamie (Collins) Mullenax.
On February 29, 1922, she married Glen Hammer who survives.
She was a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women and the Extension Homemaker's Club.
In addition to her husband of Monterey, she is survived by two sons, Robert G. and Gene Hammer, both of Monterey; three sisters, Gladys Swecker of Blue Grass, Thelma Mullenax of Staunton and Edith Mullenax of Natural Bridge; four brothers, Fred and John, both of Franklin, WV, Joseph of Blue Grass and Ben Mullenax of Churchville.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Dale R. Hammer; and a sister, Geneva Fox.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. David Schill and C. William Cox. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be C.W., Michael and Dale Hammer, Michael Armstrong, Ronald Ralston and Glen Altizer Jr.
