Moffett "Jim" Turner Jr.

Moffett "Jim" Brown Turner Jr., 70, of Blue Grass, died Sunday Sunday, December 20, 1998 at his home.

Mr. Turner was born September 4, 1928, in Mustoe and was the son of Moffett B. Turner Sr. of Blue Grass and the Lottie Mae Doyle Turner.

He was a member of the Green Hill United Methodist Church and retired from Virginia Hot Springs, Inc.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Freda Bird of Blue Grass and Charlotte M. Griffin of Dunmore, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

The Rev. Robert L. Haley will conduct a graveside at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Green Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

There will be no visitation or public viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to the Green Hill United Methodist, Monterey; Highland County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 268, Monterey; Highland County Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 267, Monterey, Va. 24465.
