Minnie Vandevander

The funeral for Minnie Catherine Vandevander, 62, McDowell, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Obaugh Funeral Home.

The Rev. Timothy Strock will conduct the service. Burial will be in the McKendree Cemetery.

Mrs. Vandevander died November 12, 1995, at her home.

She was born October 24, 1933, in Highland County and was a daughter of Willie B. and Nettie Kelley Robertson.

She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church and was employed by Blue Grass Woods.

Her husband, Randolph Vandevander, preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Shelva Deavers of Harrisonburg; two sons, Carl R. Vandevander of Palmyra and John Vandevander of Sugar Grove, WV; two sisters, Faye Simmons and Lillian Moats, both of Waynesboro; three brothers, Lawrence Robertson of Grottoes and Ray and Clarence Robertson, both of Waynesboro; and five grandsons.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
