Mildred Malcolm

Mildred Siron Malcolm, 98, of McDowell died on Thursday, December 18, 1997 at her residence.

She was born on October 10, 1899 at Highland County, a daughter of Joseph and Viola (Keister) Siron.

On May 18, 1920, she married to Claude A. Malcolm, who died on June 2, 1985.

She was a homemaker and was a member of McDowell Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Circle. She was also a member of Stonewall Women's Club and Home Demonstration Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Zaniewski of Bellevue, Neb.; two sons, Ronald and Donald Malcolm, both of McDowell; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at McDowell Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Lester LaPrade, with burial in McKendree Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bill Nash and grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

Friends may call at Don, Ron or Joe's residence or Obaugh Funeral Home any time.
