Mildred (Brown) Folks, 68, of Blue Grass died Sunday evening, June 5, 1994 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was born April 17, 1926 in Augusta County and was a daughter of Clarence William and Bessie (Sipe) Brown.
On May 23, 1953, she married William P. Folks, who survived of Blue Grass.
She was a member of the St. Marks United Methodist Church.
Beside her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lori (Folks) Martinez of Blue Grass; a sister, Martha (Brown) Lotts of Staunton; a brother, Clarence W. Brown of Richmond; and two grandchildren, Ray and Kristina Martinez of Blue Grass.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Weldon White and Rev. Jerry Ginn.
Burial will be in the Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ralph and Berlie T. Swecker, John Jr. and David Lotts, Bruce Folks, Edward W. Johns Jr., John Bowers Jr., and Philip Brooks.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7:30-9 p.m. tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
