Michael Leonard Helmick

Michael Leonard Helmick, 40, of Verona, died Sunday (June 6, 1993) in King’s Daughters’ Hospital.

He was born Dec. 20, 1952 at Hot Springs, a son of Homer and Lillian (Tudor) Helmick.

On March 24, 1978 he married Linda Wade, who survives, of Verona.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and was a self-employed trucker.

In addition to his wife and mother, who resides in Staunton, he is survived by a daughter, Brandi Helmick, at home; a son, Jeremy Helmick, at home; and a number of cousins.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Gibson and Jerry Gin. Burial will be at Monterey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tony Truslowe, Vince McDorman, Roger Shuey, Roger Arbogast, David and R.C Wade and Johnny Hitchcock and Randy.

Mrs. Helmick will be at the home of her mother, Jackie Wade, of Monterey, where friends may call at any time.
