HOT SPRINGS, VA Meredith "Tookie" Arlene Colaw, 73, of Hot Springs and formerly of Monterey, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at The Springs Nursing Center. She was born November 1, 1941 in Doe Hill a daughter of the late Meredith Ilo and Elsie Mae (Harris) Hull. Mrs. Colaw had worked as a custodian at the Highland County Courthouse. She had an abiding faith in God and loved being a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Logan Stuber and her sister, Doris Ann Smith. She is survived by four daughters, Kay Spangler of Roanoke, Tina Stuber and fiancé, Philip Rader of Sugar Grove, WV, Paula Colaw and James Layman of Hightown and Kim Moyers and husband, Perry of Monterey; her son, Johnny Gwin of Paw Paw, WV; eight grandsons, Joey and Matthew O'Dell, William Lambert, Jr. , Draven Duncan, Ransom Moyers, John, Josh and Shaun Gwin; seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Owen, Grady and Jax O'Dell, Colton, Peyton and Sophia Gwin; her brother, Noel I. Hull and wife, Doris of Doe Hill; two sisters, Darlene Harold and husband, Luther, Jr. of Doe Hill and Leta Grey Norfleet and husband, Larry of Warm Springs. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, February 7, 2015 in Doe Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
