Maywood "Tony" Anthony Walsh, Jr., 86, of Blue Grass, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at The Retreat at Fishersville.
He was born June 21, 1937 in Portsmouth, the son of the late Maywood Anthony Walsh, Sr. and Mabel Virginia (Davis) Walsh. He married Vivian Leigh (Davidson) Walsh who preceded him in death on March 11, 2023.
Tony was an electrician for VEPCO, Virginia Power, and Dominion Resources from his 20s until his retirement. Some of his hobbies included photography, model railroading, reading and carpentry. He loved landscaping and gardening. Following his retirement, Tony and his wife, Vicki, operated a stained-glass business for several years.
Surviving family members include his sons, Rhett Walsh of Bellefonte, Pa. and Ricky Walsh of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Lynn Bachenberg of Vienna; a grandson, Ricky Walsh, II of Norfolk; and two great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Mr. Walsh's wishes, his body will be cremated and ashes spread at a later date.
A special thank you from the family to the staff at The Retreat at Fishersville. The care he received while staying at The Retreat was outstanding and greatly appreciated.
