Mary Josephine Wright

Mary Josephine Wright, 88, of Williamsville, died on Tuesday, January 18, 1994 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

She was born on March 21, 1905 at Head Waters, a daughter of James and Ashby (Armstrong) Splaun.

She was a member of McDowell Presbyterian Church, and had been a guest at Bridgewater Home for several years.

Surviving are three daughters, Opal Alt of Williamsville, Linda Simmons of Moyers, WV and Nancy McCoy of Richmond; a son, Marvin Wright of Verona; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester LaPrade, with burial in Head Waters Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leo McCray, Alvin Simmons, Mark Lambert, Eddie Hailey, Lynn Wright and William Stuart.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
