Mary Virginia Roberts

Mary Virginia Roberts, 84, died Sunday afternoon (Feb. 23, 1992) in Bath County Community Hospital.

She was born March 11, 1907 in Highland County, a daughter of Robert E. Lee and Maude (Rodgers) Pullin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Roberts and was a member of Burnsville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Maudy Schurtz of McDowell; and seven sons, Grady, Lacy, Richard, Roscoe, Cletis, Raymond, and Randall Roberts, all of Burnsville; and 32 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was the last survivor of her immediate family.

A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday in Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. John Haymaker. Burial will be in the Burnsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ralph, Cletis Jr., Danny, Richard Jr., and Grady Roberts Jr. and Wendell Schurtz Jr.
