Mary Hise

WAYNESBORO, VA Mary Louise "Honeybee" Hise, 74, of Waynesboro and formerly Monterey, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Harvard Home in Waynesboro. She was born April 8, 1942 in Hightown a daughter of the late Clay Andrew and Viola Edith (Washburn) Hise. Mary was a kind, loving and caring person, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, including her special Harvard Home family. She greatly loved animals, coloring, being around children and making people happy. Her smile would brighten up the room and her presence would fill your heart with love. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Edith Jolley, Goldie Teti, Hazel Shifflett, Vernie Colaw and Jane Waybright as well as three brothers, Stanley Hise, Sterling Hise and Edward Hise. Surviving family members include her sister, Irene Pingley of Warren, OH; her brother, Clellon Hise of Bartow, WV and a great number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Obaugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Andre Crummett officiating. Burial will follow in Arbovale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Mike and Eric Ralston, Andy and Clay Hise, Chris High and Chad Staton.
