Mary Virginia Dudley

Mary Virginia Dudley, 102, of Hightown, died Wednesday evening, September 16,1992 in the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin, WV.

She was the daughter of George David and Mary Susan (Hevener) Dudley, and was born in Hightown on September 9, 1890.

She was educated in her home and later attended Mary Baldwin College. She was a member of the Pisgah Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school class and served as president of the Women of the Church.

She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth D. Stephenson, of Pendleton Nursing Home, Franklin, WV; and a sister-in-law, Lucille E. Dudley of Iva, S.C.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Martha Bear; two brother, George Washington Dudley and William Hevener Dudley; and a nephew, George Evans Dudley.

A graveside service will be conduced at 11 a.m. Friday in the Green Hill Cemetery in Churchville with the Rev. C. William Cox officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Richard and Jacob Hevener, James Stephenson, R.W. Hevener Jr., Clem Kincaid and E.W. Cox Jr.
