Marvin Franklin Boggs, 75, of Stafford, died Monday, November 24, 1997 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
He was born on February 2, 1922 at Alvon, WV, a son of Franklin Alexander and Ina (Waggoner) Boggs.
He was a retired auto mechanic.
In addition to his widow, Helen Boggs of Fredericksburg, he is survived by a daughter, Darlene Boggs of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sons, Darrell of Locust Grove and Ernest Boggs of Arlington; a sister, Genevieve Sharp of New Castle, Del., four brothers, Merle of Maryland, Julian of Ohio, Steral of Florida and Lee Boggs of King George; four stepsons, David of Chesterfield, Wayne of Alaska, Larry of Richmond and William White of Lynchburg; a step daughter, Sherry Jett of Stafford; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, by the Rev. Donald E. Rose with burial at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Active and honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
