Marvin "Amos" Lee Rexrode

Marvin "Amos" Lee Rexrode, 62, of Staunton died on Friday, February 5, 1993 at his residence.

He was born on February 24, 1930 in Highland County, a son of Charles and Minnie (Rexrode) Rexrode.

On April 21, 1962 he married Shirley Hevener, who survives.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He worked for a number of years for Basic-Witz Furniture Co. and was retired from the city of Staunton sanitation department.

In addition to his widow, surviving are a son, Mark Rexrode of Staunton; four sisters, Artie Mae SImmons of Monterey, Shirley McCray and Bonnie Warner, both of Harrisonburg, and Mildred Bailey of Ceredo, WV; and two brothers, Russell and Randolph Rexrode, both of Monterey.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. David Palmer and Jerry Ginn, with burial in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie and Charles Rexrode, Dale Simmons, Gary Rexrode, Ricky McCray and Ronald Simmons.
