Marie Reavis

Marie Cobb Reavis, 82, of Clifton Forge, died Wednesday, January 1, 1997 at alleghany Regional Hospital at Low Moor.

She was born April 1, 1914 at Bolar, a daughter of John B. and Zella Lillian (Eakle) Cobb.

She was a member of Starr Bolar United Methodist Church.

She had retired from Hecht Co. at Washington, SC. after 28 years. She was a charter member of Ruth Seven Order of Eastern Star in Hyattsville, Md.

Survivors include two sister, Laura F. Cobb of Clifton Forger and Lucille Swartz of Bolar; two brothers, George E. Cobb of McDowell and William S. Smith of Bolar; one step-son, Richard Reavis of Capistrano, Ca.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Cobb.

A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Reg. Roger Bush with burial in Monterey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jack and Frankie Hicklin, Robert Helms, Tiffany Hull, John William Smith and John Barnes Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be those attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7:30-9 this evening at the funeral home.
